Father, today was not promised to me, but through Your wisdom, grace, mercy, purpose and plan for my life, You saw fit to let me see another day. For this I say thank you.

Lord God, help me to be purposeful and focused on my tasks today. Help me not to waste the energy You’ve given me or be unproductive in my time management. Help me to seize every opportunity to display Your great love for mankind in everything I do.

Help me to not walk in selfish ambition, pride or arrogance, but to walk in humility before You and man. Lord guide me into obedience to Your plan for me today. Let me not look back and wonder, “what if,” neither let me look too far forward saying, “what then,” but let me look at today as the blessing You created it to be for me.

Father, how precious is Your name in all the earth. How wonderful are Your works in the earth and in the heavenly realm. My soul is made glad by the knowledge of Your work in my life. I refuse to turn back to what I was or where I was and I cling to You and Your word today.

Lord, today I want my mind filled with whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—I want to think about such things.

Right now, Father God, I want the Spirit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control to enter my life in such a way that everyone who comes in contact with me today will know there is something different about me.

Today, I purpose to allow the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart to be pleasing in your sight, for You are my LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer. In Jesus’ name, amen.

Father it seems that every time our nation takes a step towards recovery it takes two steps back. Fighting and bickering in the Senate and the House of Representatives seems to go on every day. Discord with the White House and disrespect for our nation’s leader seems to abound. This is why we must put our hope and trust in You. Lord, in the midst of all these trials and difficulties. We look to You as our hope, our help and our strength.

So many people in our country need help. They need jobs, health insurance, protection from the environment and conditions they are forced in life in. Our lawmakers seem to have forgotten the citizens of our nation and have focused only on themselves. But Father, even in the middle of this season of discontent, we can find our contentment and comfort in You.

Our faith looks up to You. We will lift our eyes to the hills from where our help comes from; our help comes from the Lord who created heaven and earth. There is no foe, not even our national leader’s egos, that can withstand Your power and authority.

In this time of trouble, we are confident and boldly say, “God is our helper. He will answer the cry of His people from His holy hill.” Hear us oh Lord and answer us right away. For without You, we have no hope, but with You, all things are possible, even the healing of our land.

Good morning God.

Thank you for this day and for Your many blessings. Please help me to have the right perspective on things. Life is short and eternity is forever. I want to start each day reviewing my priorities, and a tentative plan for where I will invest my time and energy, so that I will be sure to do what matters.

Lord, don’t let me be complacent and operate in denial, darkness, deception and error about the things I need to do. Please give me Your priorities for my life in general and today specifically. Guide me and direct my every step.

Father God, I pray the part of the Lord’s Prayer that says: “…Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven” often without thinking about it, but today I am asking for Your will to be done in my life.

Father, You know what is good, right and perfect for me because every good and perfect gift comes from You. You know exactly what I need and when I need it. You know how to show Your strength, power and righteousness through my life. Today I commit to submit to Your overarching authority over my life and I permit You to have Your perfect way in me.

Lord, when my flesh starts to scream because it is uncomfortable, comfort me by Your Holy Spirit. Father, I’ve been praying for (fill in whatever you’ve been praying for. Some examples: a closer walk with God, a healthier lifestyle, a mate, a change of heart in my children, a financial blessing or deliverance from past pains, etc.) ___________________________________________________ and I know the first step to moving forward in this is for Your will to be done in my life.

I will not listen to unwise council. I will keep my eyes steadfast and fixed on You, because You are the author, the perfecter and the finisher of my faith.

God, I have prayed and prayed and still sense no real movement from You. Some days I feel like I’m wasting my time. Then I see a glimmer of hope through what seems like eternally darkened skies; and I know that You are still with me.

Whether You do what I think You should do or not, I know You haven’t left me. Whether I feel Your presence or not, I know You’re with me. I am so thankful that Your presence in my life doesn’t rest on how obedient I’ve been to You; rather, it rests on how much You love me. Thank You for loving me in spite of myself.

I understand what David meant when he said: “…even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me…” My finances, relationships, business or job may not be going the way I want them to, but You are still with me. You will never leave me nor forsake me.

So, no matter what I do or where I go, You are with me. Whether my path is clear or cloudy, You are always there. This is such a comforting thought in the midst of all that I’m going through right now. Thank you for being my God and allowing me to be Your child. I also thank You for being my friend.

Father God, help me make good decisions today regarding my finances, my relationships…in fact, help me make good decisions today in every area of my life.

Help me not to fall for the lust of the eye, but to do what I know is good and right in Your sight. Lord, help me to say “no” to things that are currently of little or no value to me. Things, Lord, that if I purchase them or spent my time doing them, it would make me a bad steward of the resources You’ve given me.

Forgive me Father for complaining about not having enough time or enough money. Meanwhile, I’m not using what You’ve provided for me wisely. Father, forgive me for asking for more money, more talents, more time, more ability, when, in truth, I’m not being a good steward of what You’ve entrusted to me.

Help me identify my shortcomings in the area of stewardship and correct them by allowing Your word to work in me.

Father, I know Your word says that You know the plans You have for me; plans to do me good and not to harm me, plans to give me a hope and a future hope. This isn’t a promise just for me, but for everyone who calls on the name of Jesus. But, I’m being honest; some days I don’t feel like Your plan is working very well.

I look around and I see people losing everything. I see murder and mayhem, heartache and hardship and I wonder could this really be Your plan? I’ve lost loved ones and friends. Good people, including me and my family members have lost homes, money, jobs, etc., while the unrighteous still prosper. Forgive me, but is this really a plan for my good? I feel like David when he said, “Why, O Lord, do You stand far off? Why do You hide Yourself in the time of trouble?”

But I will trust in Your unfailing love, my heart will rejoice in Your coming salvation. I know that at the right time and in the right season, if I don’t give up, You will bless me and others in the body of Christ with everything that is rightfully ours to inherit. I will not weaver in my trust of You, but I will stand firm and see the deliverance of Your children.

Thank You for being a big enough God for me to be honest with in my times of uncertainty, weakness and momentary despair. I will wait on You. I will be of good courage and I know You will strengthen my heart. In Jesus name. Amen

Father, today I need to encourage myself in You, in Your word. That’s why I say I am a child of the Most High God. He will keep me in perfect peace if I keep my mind steadfast on Him because I trust in Him.

My God is the awesome God. No one else has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand or marked out the heavens by the span of his hand. Only my God can call the stars out one by one and call each one by its name and make sure none of them are lost.

My God is the everlasting God. He never grows tired nor weary. He strengthens me because my hope is in Him.

When I pass through situations of life that want to overwhelm me, I will not fear because I know that God is with me.

When I have to walk into circumstances that cause me heartache and hardship, I will trust in the Lord to bring me out. I will not be afraid for God will never forsake me.

In the day of trouble He will keep me safe for He is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life, of whom should I be afraid?

In the midst of it all Lord, I will praise You. In Jesus name. Amen.

Father, I find myself dealing with the rejections of the past and the present. Rejections by family, so-called friends and, yes, even those in the body of Christ. I still have scars and hurts, Lord, that I haven’t been able to get over and, just at the worst time, those scars and emotional bruises come up and I find myself slipping backwards — drifting into who I was and not being who You have told me I am.

But I am so thankful that even if my mother and father reject me, You never will. From today on, when I feel rejected or “less than,” I will say of myself what You say about me.

You say that I am blessed with all spiritual blessings in the heavenly realm through Jesus Christ. You say that I am Your child according to the good pleasure of Your will. You have accepted me and have redeemed me through the blood of Jesus.

By Your word, I am a wise and prudent person. I am more than an over comer and I am a partaker in all of Your promises in Christ.

Lord, everything that You say about me is true,  because everything You say IS truth. Therefore, I will walk with my head held high in boldness and confidence and say, “I am Your workmanship. I have been fearfully and wonderfully made. Let others reject me, for You have loved me completely.” In Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.
